As data center environments become more dynamic and complex, data centers must increase availability while reducing costs and increasing efficiency. Servers and high-current network equipment have increased the demand for higher rack voltages and the power requirements of the facility as a whole. High current configurations provide better levels of performance and capacity, but they create the need for more effective power delivery. As a result, the features and functionality available on PDUs are becoming increasingly important to achieve efficient power distribution in response to changing data center capacities and flows.

Requires devices for power distribution used by data centers to increase efficiency and reduce electricity costs.

Results

To provide electrical security and distribute power to IT equipment, a STYRE IPPDU is needed. IPPDU can send AC or DC power from a UPS, generator, or other power supply to a device. IPPDU distributes electrical power to connected servers. Power supplies are used to supply power to rack mounted equipment such as servers, switches and routers.
